The Action Peoples Party (APP) emerged as a dominant force in the recent local government elections in Rivers State, winning an impressive 314 seats out of the 319 parliamentary seats available in the 23 local government areas of the state. Obtained.
The results were announced by the Chairman, Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), Justice Adolphus Enebeli, at a press conference in Port Harcourt on Sunday.
According to official results, APP won in 314 wards, with the All Progressives Congress (APC), Labor Party (LP), Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Youth Party (YPP) securing one seat each. This major victory for APP highlighted its overwhelming support in the state.
