Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum, Bala Mohammed, has expressed strong confidence that the party will successfully navigate the current challenges.
The statement was made on Friday during a reception for the Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Mr. Umaru Damagumu, at the Bauchi State Government House.
Governor Mohammed, who also serves as Bauchi State Governor, acknowledged the serious challenges facing the party, but stressed his determination to work collectively towards resolving these issues.
"There may be political problems, but certainly we have a way to bounce back,” he said, underscoring the party’s resilience.
During the meeting, which was also attended by PDP leaders from the North-East region, Mr. Muhammad reiterated the importance of unity within the party, especially in times of crisis.
“The most important thing about today’s expedition is that the Northeast is one. We are together and united,” he asserted.
He assured Damagum that the party would discuss next steps on the ongoing issues with his fellow governors. This comes at a time when the PDP is facing internal conflicts including leadership issues and factionalism.
As the PDP seeks to strengthen its position and address the current turmoil, Mr. Muhammad’s remarks reflect a determination to restore harmony and effectiveness within the party for the political challenges ahead. .
