Former spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar’s 2023 presidential election campaign, Daniel Bwala, has called on Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu over the planned cabinet reshuffle.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Bwala stressed that the timing of the changes is entirely at the president’s discretion.
He explained that the president is likely making decisions based on key performance indicator (KPI) evaluations of Cabinet members.
“He will do it when he wants to do it. The good thing is that when he introduced this KPI assessment he should have formed his opinion based on the assessment and even the minister who was not able to meet this assessment “It means you can know,” he said.
He added that the president has the final say in evaluating ministers, and called on Nigerians to trust the process and be patient as it is unclear when changes may occur.
“Right now, the general evaluator is the president. He has involved Nigerians and said, ‘Go and talk about the program and when it’s time to do it, we’ll do it.’
“I ask Nigerians to have patience, the president will do it. It could happen tonight, it could happen tomorrow, it could happen anytime.”
