The Gilberts gave birth to their third child Friday night outside Cadence Bank Arena in Tupelo, Mississippi.
On Friday night, country rocker Brantley Gilbert was minutes into his set at Cadence Bank Arena in Tupelo, Michigan, when his wife, Amber, gave birth to their third child on his tour bus, so he stopped by his side. I stopped the show to stand up.
“So last night may have been the craziest night of my life,” Gilbert wrote in a video post on Instagram detailing the family emergency. “Seeing such an amazing woman do such amazing things is something I will never forget.”

Brantley GilbertIn the video, Gilbert is taken off stage due to a “backstage emergency" and transitions from a walk to a run as the camera follows. Gilbert is then seen telling his mother, “We have a new grandchild.”
When Gilbert’s mother asks how Amber is doing, he proudly replies, “She’s a total savage.” The Gilberts reportedly had a midwife present to assist with the birth.
After his wife gave birth to their child, Gilbert returned to the stage and announced to the audience, “We’re having a baby!” To thunderous applause.
“Thank you to our Lord family for rallying around us, Brittany Thornton for helping us bring this little guy into the world, for showing us so much love and support,” Gilbert wrote on Instagram. Tupelo, Mississippi, and above all…Amber Gilbert, make me love you and show me how incredibly strong women are.”
By the way, Tupelo is also the birthplace of Elvis Presley, so young Gilbert gets along well there.
