Bello El-Rufai, a member of the House of Representatives representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency, has reacted to President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Shehu Dikko as the Chairman of the newly established National Sports Commission.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu abolished the Ministry of Sports Development as part of his cabinet reshuffle.
Tinubu, who presided over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, said the newly established National Sports Commission would take over the role of the Ministry of Sports.
Following this development, El-Rufai described Ditko as a perfect fit and an experienced sports administrator.
He assured that Ditko would live up to expectations.
He posted on His appointment as Chairman is a perfect fit. He is an experienced sports administrator and I have high expectations for what he will do in the industry.
“As Chairman of the League Management Company responsible for the management of the Nigeria Professional Football League, he previously served as a consultant to the Nigerian House of Representatives Committee on Sports.”
“He is a champion of sport as a business and the public, by the grace of God, should expect huge investment in the sports sector, especially in different sports as we reinvent an industry with limitless potential. We extend our full support and prayers to him as he attracts a wealth of highly skilled young people.”
