Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has denied knowledge of his suspension from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In an interview with The Nation, Fayose noted that the current crisis within the party makes a mockery of suspensions and counter-suspensions.
Fayose said his days of worrying about being suspended from the PDP were over, adding that he was putting off his advisory role at this stage.
He said: “I don’t know about suspensions, but I don’t care about that.The current situation in our party, especially at that level of leadership, makes suspensions and counter-suspensions a mockery.”
“Unfortunately, these developments have brought the party to a very low level and are causing us inevitable embarrassment. I have paid my dues to the party. I have defended the party. I have It was the only voice against President Muhammadu Buhari’s mismanagement.
“At this stage we are on the back burner and we can only act in an advisory capacity.For now we are not concerned about rumors of cancellation.
