NEW YORK, Oct 16 (Reuters) – Genaro García Luna, who for years has led Mexico’s fight against the violent drug trade, was charged in the United States on Wednesday with accepting bribes from the cartels he was supposed to be fighting. He was sentenced to more than 38 years in prison. .
