Former Senate President David Mark is under increasing pressure to assume the role of de facto national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to a report in the Leadership Newspaper, two influential figures, both former military generals, one a former president and the other a former defense minister, have joined forces to stabilize the party ahead of the national convention. He said he encouraged Mark to take the job.
