BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – With plans to start touring next summer and new music in the works, Austin English continues to carve his own path through music and joins us this week on Free Music Friday I did.
English began working on music as a teenager at a high school talent show.
“I started a band, and someone liked us and booked us for a show, and here I am, years later,” he recalls.
English is working on a new album that will be released soon, but tonight at the Palace Theater he will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of his first EP release. He said he expects to enjoy several hours of great music in downtown Bryan.
“We’re going to record a few songs live. That (album) will be released in the future. Other than that, it’s First Friday over there. It’s a free show, so there’s no reason not to come,” English jokes. .
English will take the stage at 7 p.m., but the Palace Theater opens at 6 p.m., and the performance is free.
