The OSUN state chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has denounced Governor Ademola Adeleke for claims that it would create 250,000 jobs over the past two years of his administration.
Naija News reported that Adereke declared on Thursday that his administration had created around 250,000 jobs in the past two years when 2,000 young people in Osogbo were led into the Imor Youth Corps. Masu.
The governor stressed that the achievements stem from local content policies and financial support for businesses, and that the Imole Youth Corps initiative is part of his broader plan to tackle unemployment.
He said the scheme will attract young people from 332 political wards in Osun to provide health, safety, environmental and educational services.
He said, “Our administration is focused on addressing the unemployment crisis. We are focusing on widespread unemployment among young people.
“Our first decision is to enable an environment for job creation by both government and the private sector.
“Today’s gathering is a continuation of efforts to provide job opportunities for young people in our team.”
However, the APC responded through the media and information director, saying it criticized the governor for not hiring teachers and health workers in state public schools and hospitals.
He highlights the shortage of public school teachers and staffing shortages in public hospitals as important concerns, and question why governors prioritize recruiting youth members when basic services are lacking. I saw it.
“It’s not funny and weird that Governor Ademola Adeleke, who had been unable to hire teachers or healthcare workers for three years in the administration, thinks it’s wise to recruit 10,000 Imole Youth Corps members,” Olabisi said. Isn’t that the case?
“The claim of 250,000 employment opportunities over two years is a false story. We waited three years without any indication of employment under the government of Adeleke, and we were purchasing employment forms by the PDP-led administration in Osun Province. I sympathize with the applicant and teacher who was attacked.”
