Without the Grand Ole Opry, country music wouldn’t be what it is or sound like it is today. In 2025, the Opry will celebrate its proud 100th anniversary with a year-long series of special events called “Opry 100,” celebrating country music’s distinguished history. The Opry 100 begins on January 3, 2025 at the legendary Ryman Auditorium with a performance by Country Music Hall of Famer Bill Anderson, the longest-serving member in Opry history. All Opry performances during 2025 will honor the historic venue’s 100th anniversary, and other special events will include country icons like Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, and Loretta Lynn. Opry 100 Honors, a series of shows in honor of the. “Opry 100” will also feature 100 debut performances by new artists, “Opry 100 Greatest Songs,” a fan-selected list of country classics, and a book titled “100 Years of the Grand Ole Opry.” On November 28, 2025, the Opry will host a special live event to commemorate exactly 100 years since its first performance.
