He continued, “I appeal to him to resist the bad people who are trying to turn the people against his administration. The hardships these people are inflicting on Nigerians have become intolerable. I’m in Borno right now and I know what I’m saying. People are really suffering, hungry, frustrated and angry.”
Highlighting the serious impact on Borno residents, Ndume said, “Many families here can no longer even eat.The hardship caused by these repeated price hikes is unimaginable.Due to high transportation costs, farmers are unable to sell their crops. cannot be moved.
“Traders who transport goods pass on the costs to consumers, making food too expensive. People can’t even afford to travel anymore. Traveling by road from Abuja to Maiduguri, for example, is now a big deal. It’s money. How many people can afford it?”
Ndume stressed that Tinubu has good intentions towards Nigerians but that a few bad advisers should not be allowed to undermine the stability of the country.
“That is why I am asking him to do something before it is too late. It is wrong to test the patience of Nigerians and that is exactly what unscrupulous advisors are doing. It’s about being there,” he said.
“I urge the President to look into these issues and address them immediately upon his return to Nigeria. Nigerians’ purchasing power is too meager to afford what is thrust upon us every day by the enemies of the nation,” Ndume said. he advised.
