Publisher and leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Dele Momodu, has commended the party’s governors for intervening in the crisis that has shaken the PDP’s national leadership.
Momodu said the governor’s intervention was a good start.
Naija News recalls that the Peoples Democratic Governors Forum (PDP-GF) has directed members of the rival party to return to their former positions.
Chairman of the forum and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, announced this after the state governors’ meeting concluded early Tuesday morning.
Mr. Muhammad said that as a political organization, the PDP is expected to face disagreements among its members, but assured that these issues can be addressed and overcome.
In an interview with Arise TV on Tuesday, Modu expressed optimism that the PDP could focus on supporting credible opposition parties in the country by resolving the domestic crisis.
“I think it is a very good start. If you had asked me the same question at this time yesterday, my answer would have been different, but I am happy that the PDP Governors Forum is finally starting to fulfill its responsibility,” he said. spoke.
“Many Nigerians are suffering. At a time when opposition is much needed, we have been found wanting,” Momodu lamented.
He expressed happiness that all suspension measures have been lifted by the governors.
Momodu added: “I am happy that the governor has suspended all suspensions.”
