Former Labor Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi has reacted to the emergence of Nigerian-born Kemi Badenoch as leader of the UK Conservative Party.
Mr Obi urged Nigerians to use this development as a catalyst for change in the national leadership landscape.
He argued that the time has come to move beyond outdated traditions such as tribalism, religious bigotry and “my turn” syndrome.
The former Anambra governor said this was to foster an environment that values competence, competency, integrity, fresh perspectives and positive leadership.
