Mark Ronson, Cat Barnes and Jake Bugg have been named to perform at this year’s Music Industry Trust Awards (MITS) ceremony, which honors Sony Music UK & Ireland chairman and chief executive Jason Iley MBE.
The 32nd anniversary will be held on Monday 4th November at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Oscar and Grammy Award-winning producer, DJ and songwriter Mark Ronson leads the bill with a strong influence on contemporary British pop culture. He boasts 20 billion global streams, 7 Grammy Awards, and 2 BRIT Awards. His multi-platinum hits include “Uptown Funk,” “Valerie,” and “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart.”
BRIT School graduate Kat Barnes will also be on stage. Burns’ double platinum hit “Go” earned him the title of best-selling debut song of 2022. Burns has amassed 800 million streams worldwide and has been nominated for three BRIT Awards.

Rounding out the line-up is Jake Bugg, whose relationship with Jason Eiley dates back to 2011 when they signed to Mercury Records. Since then, Bugg has amassed sales of over 1.3 million albums and over 4 million songs. His performance at the MITS ceremony coincides with the release of his new album, A Modern Day Distraction, scheduled for Friday (October 4).
Mr Iley has been chairman of Sony Music UK for 10 years, making him the longest-serving chairman in the company’s history. MITS noted that since taking over, Mr. Iley has “diversified the company, revamped Sony Music’s roster and led acquisitions including Ministry of Sound Records in 2016.”
Currently, Irie joins homegrown talent such as Calvin Harris, Paloma Faith, Mark Ronson, George Ezra, Robbie Williams, Rag’n’Bone Man, and this year’s breakout artists Central Sea and Miles Smith. , manages a roster that includes internationally signed artists. Stars like Beyoncé, Adele, Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus, SZA, P!NK and Foo Fighters.
Eyley is a member of the OBE Annie Lennox, Kylie Minogue, Rob Stringer OBE, Emma Banks, Sir Elton John and Bernie Taupin, Sir Lucien Grainge, Michael Eavis OBE, Pete He joins previous MITS recipients, including Tom OBE, Roger Daltrey and Jamal Edwards. The MBE, and last year’s recipient, is live music agent Lucy Dickins.

This year’s ceremony continues our commitment to supporting music charities. Proceeds from this event will go to the BRIT School’s core funder, the BRIT Trust, and the music therapy charity Nordoff & Robbins.
