Federal Capital Territory FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has said that Peoples Democratic Party PDP Board BoT Chairman Adolphus Wabara is unfit to lead.
According to Naija News, Wike made the remark during a meeting with the media in Abuja on Sunday.
Mr. Wike accused Mr. Wabara of being part of those stirring up crisis in the PDP, stressing that if he were his father, he would have disowned him.
The minister blamed the actions and statements of some PDP leaders for the backwardness of the party.
While the former Rivers State governor condemned the leadership’s decision, the PDP leadership desperately sought the removal of the Acting National Chairman, Umaru Damagum, and the National Secretary, Sam Anyanwu, despite the court ruling. Said it was wrong.
He said, “If Wahara were my father, I would have disowned him. He is not qualified to be a leader. No wonder Obasanjo made a presidential broadcast about his corrupt practices.”
“I’m not concerned at all. The matter is in the hands of the courts and the party’s constitution is clear.
“If they resign, they have to be replaced by election. The fact that someone is trying to circumvent this process doesn’t surprise me.
“Some are trying to manipulate the situation, but they will not succeed. This matter is before the courts and we need to respect the rule of law. We need to focus on solving problems within the party.
"Instead of stirring up a crisis, the Games should be held as planned in December and a new executive team should be brought in.”
