A past favorite event – returning for the first time in several years – teams are now encouraged to sign up for the Escalon High School Music Boosters Trivia Night.
The Trivia Bee is Disney-themed and will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at 6 p.m.
A dinner and trivia contest will be held, and the funds raised will go toward the music department’s trip to Disneyland, band supplies, and scholarships.
Trivia teams of three must include at least one student in grades 5-12. The members of the second and third teams can be students or adults. Registration fee is $150 per team and includes a team dinner.
Dinner is catered by D’Boni’s and includes pasta, meat, salad, bread, soft drink and dessert.
“EHS and El Portal Music Boosters are in the process of merging to form Escalon Music Boosters,” April Adams said, referring to efforts to combine and integrate efforts. “The high school music department is planning a trip to Disneyland, and we are working on a trip to Santa Cruz for the El Portal music students.”
Adams also said four EHS choir students have qualified to perform in the regional honor choir: Danielle Adams, Madeline Fahey, Courtney Ball and Brenden Berchtold.
When it comes to the trivia contest, Adams said he asks participants to wear their “Disney best,” including Mickey Mouse ears, Disney shirts and costumes. Spectators can also wear Disney costumes for the event.
Along with participating teams, Music Boosters is seeking team sponsorships for $150. Sponsors will be featured in the evening’s advertising program.
Donations are also requested for the raffle and silent auction. You can make a tax-deductible donation or purchase dinner tickets for $25 each to attend the dinner and watch the competition.
Donated auction items can be picked up or returned at Escalon High School. To make an appointment to pick up your donation, please contact April Adams at 209-606-6487 or Kaili Fugett at 209-605-6954.
A special 50/50 raffle will be held on the night of the event, with 50% of the cash going to the winner and the remaining 50% to an EHS student going on a trip to Disneyland. Tickets will be sold only in cash for Trivia Night. Cost is $5 per ticket or $20 for 5 tickets.
Adams said payment for all team entries, sponsorships and dinner tickets is required by Wednesday, Oct. 30. Checks can be made payable to EHS Music Boosters, 1528 Yosemite Ave., Escalon CA 95320, or via Venmo at EHS-MusicBoosters.
