This past weekend, the annual music festival was held in the heart of El Dorado, bringing together friends, family, artists, and foodies.
“I was born and raised in El Dorado,” said Jason Townsend (aka Jay Tune). “I grew up in the Morning Star area of town. Around 2016, my cousins and I started making music in our living room. We actually sold candy at school to buy the equipment.”
Townsend explained what music means to him.
“It’s an outlet,” he said. “That’s how I express myself, my feelings, my emotions. No matter what I’m going through at any given moment, I can release those emotions through music.”
“Sharing my music with the community has always been special to me,” Townsend said. “Years ago, before everything went digital, I used to give out CDs and they always accepted me with open arms, especially now. Their support means everything to me. is.”
“Music Fest was great, the people were great, the energy was incredible,” he said. “It means a lot to me that they saw something in me and believed in me and let me come back for a second year. A huge thank you to everyone involved for helping me get this far. Thank you.”
