Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has said that his ultimate goal now is to hand over the state government to an All Progressives Congress (APC) governor in 2027.
Mr. Sule made this disclosure on Monday this week while addressing officials of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State.
He maintained that it does not matter who the person is as long as they are under the APC platform.
He said, “As you all know, and for those who don’t know, my ultimate goal is to hand over to another APC governor in 2027. If there is, we will do our best in that area.” When it comes to education, health, agriculture and everything you can think of, we will do everything we can to make Nasarawa State proud.
“But it doesn’t mean much to me unless we work together to hand over to another governor elected under the APC. These have to be achieved starting from me.
“I have said it many times, but I say from the bottom of my heart that what happened in 2019, what happened in 2023 has already happened and God has given us success. Therefore, in 2019 Or if I hand over to another APC governor who did not support me in 2023, I have absolutely no problem holding grudges against others.
“As long as that person comes under the APC platform, it doesn’t matter to me, I will hand it over to him. We won’t know the difference until we are no longer in that office. Many of you will easily Come and see me, but believe me, it is not possible unless you are an APC governor.”
The stakeholder meeting included all former state governors including Senator Umar Tanko Al Makra and Senator Abdullahi Adamu, state APC chairman Aliyu Bello, outgoing local government chairmen, commissioners and special advisers. All party stakeholders were present. level.
