Former Labor Party gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rose-Bivour, has resisted any plans by politicians of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to usurp the people of Lagos State’s right to decide who will lead the state. I appealed to them to do so.
Rosebibior said this on Monday while reacting to the impeachment of the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa.
Naija News reports that Mr. Obasa has been charged by the House of Representatives with financial misappropriation. However, the political structure in Lagos has become heated as Obasa’s reported ambitions for the governorship clash with those of President Bola Tinubu’s son Seyi Tinubu.
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mojisola Rasbat Miranda, who represents Apapa 1st constituency in Lagos State, assumed the position of Speaker.
The former Labor Party’s gubernatorial candidate, in his reaction to I wondered if it wasn’t there.
“It is interesting that the EFCC has noticed the corruption of APC Lagos politicians. It is no coincidence that all of them have ambitions to become the next governor.
“Your principal indirectly said that Lagos is his and his descendants’ birthright and that all aspiring APC politicians exist only to further the interests of him and his family. I told you.
“I have said this before and I will say it again: I must remind him that Lagos is not his legacy because Lagos is bigger than him,” he wrote.
