The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State has categorically denied allegations that suggested its members should withdraw from today’s parliamentary elections in 23 local government bodies in the state.
Addressing reporters in Kafanchan, the administrative center of the Jemaa local government area, on Saturday, provincial speaker Edward Marcia said his office had not initiated or supported calls for such a boycott. He emphasized.
He said, “When PDP personnel at the SIECOM office in Kaduna were inspecting classified materials before distribution, they noticed that one of the most sensitive materials, the result sheet, was not included, which was unusual. ” he said.
He also revealed that just two weeks ago, he had warned everyone about the APC’s plan to tamper with the elections by inserting a clause into the SIECOM election rules that would change the way election results are announced.
Marsha made it clear that the PDP will not back down until all important documents are added to ensure impartiality.
The PDP chairman in the state said the ruling party’s blatant election fraud shows that democracy in the state is under threat.
Mr. Marsha then urges all PDP members to unite to express massive support to stop any action that may disturb peace and vote in all local government areas of the state I urged him to do so.
