Former President Muhammadu Buhari’s media aide, Bashir Ahmed, has claimed that Peter Obi is politically greater than Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso.

However, Mr Ahmad, an indigene of Kano, in a post through his X handle on Saturday claimed that Mr Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, is politically superior to Mr Kwankwaso, a former governor of his home state. .
Mr Ahmad supported his claim by pointing to the results of the 2023 presidential election in which Mr Obi received more votes than Mr Kwankwaso.
He writes: “Although I have never been a supporter of Kwankwasiya, I have always admired and respected Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso and consider him to be one of the progressive politicians in this country. I do not agree with his recent statement in an interview in Kano where he claimed to be politically greater than Peter Obi.
“Looking at the results of the 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi received 6,101,533 votes and came first in 11 states, showing great support from the people. In contrast, Senator Kwankwaso received 1,496,687 votes. , led only in Kano state.
“These numbers clearly suggest that Peter Obi has greater political influence across the country, at least when it comes to the 2023 elections.
“So Peter Obi is politically greater than Rabiu Kwankwaso.”
