Prominent politicians from the north have voiced growing calls for President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to be removed from office in the 2027 general elections, citing concerns about biased appointments and declining public confidence in the government. The source told Saturday Sun on condition of anonymity that President Tinubu’s sense of favoritism in key appointments has rallied many Nigerians, including prominent politicians, against his government. This is said to be a big reason.
The official argued that presidential appointments across federal departments unfairly favor certain regions, leaving many Nigerians, especially in the north, feeling marginalized.
When asked to list some of the crimes of President Tinubu’s administration against North Korea, the official said: “His appointments are too lopsided. That’s why most Nigerians don’t seem to trust his tax reform bill. In our recent history, no single ethnic group has been in government. has never dominated the financial and economic sectors of the world.
“The Minister of Finance, the boss of FIRS, the CBN governor, the Chairman of the Tax Reform Commission, the boss of Customs, all are from his ethnicity and sect. And just two days ago, the Acting Treasurer of the Federation announced that all Yoruba came from one faction.
“And all his policies are anti-social. How can we trust anything that comes out of such a system? The majority of us believe that in the name of declaring war on the Niger Republic, he How can Tinubu, who is a Muslim, be able to promote anti-Islamic policies? Well, look how far he can go.
