Demola Olalenwaju, Special Assistant on Digital Media Strategy to former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has said that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, is using the Nigerian Police and courts to punish the people. He claimed he was threatening her. Rivers State Governor, Mr. Siminalai Hubala;
Mr Olalenwaju accused Mr Wike of trying to use the police and the courts to set Rivers State on fire.
On Friday, the former aide lamented through a post on his X handle that it was very sad that Wike was colluding with the IGP.
He was reacting to reports that Mr Hubala had stormed the headquarters of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) following an attempt by the police to prevent the holding of local government elections on Saturday.
He said: “Minister Wike of Tinubu State has dragged the courts and police into a political conflict with his successor, Governor Simu Hubala, who is supported by the people.
“The fact that he is trying to set his state on fire is a disgrace to him and his career as a former governor, but Mr. Hubala is holding his ground completely.
“It is very sad and absolutely reprehensible that Nyesom Wike is colluding with the IGP to stir up trouble in Rivers. This is being done entirely by the APC under Tinubu’s watch. I will.
“It is a sad throwback to the days of the dangerous federal gangs of the early Democratic Party that the people of Rivers must resist.”
