Silent Hill 2’s Lake View Hotel is, frankly, a bit of a respite after the horrors of Toluca Prison and Labyrinth. Of course, there are still monsters lurking here, but there’s no denying that this place is beautiful and somewhat benign compared to what you’re about to face. Solving the music box puzzle in the lobby of the Lake View Hotel may seem a little confusing at first, with all the different dials and keys to interact with, but once you know what you’re trying to accomplish, it’s like a walk in the park. It’s the same. Without further ado, let me show you how to solve the music box puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake.

To solve the music box puzzle in Silent Hill 2’s Lake View Hotel, you must first find and place three figures. These figures are collected as part of various puzzles within the hotel and can be found in the following areas:
Snow White Figurine – In room 201 after solving the broken mirror puzzle in room 202. Cinderella Figurine – In the conference room fireplace. Little Mermaid Figurine – Inside Venus Tears Bar.
Once you have collected all three figures, place Snow White in the bottom left corner, the Little Mermaid in the top position, and Cinderella in the last remaining position.
Next, you need to turn the four dials here to create a path to the door closest to each figure. This is simply a matter of turning the dial so that the tracks line up with each other, but make sure they lead to nearby doors and not dead ends.

When you’re ready to test your track, interact with the buttons in the bottom right corner. When the figure reaches the door, it will reveal three poems and three keys.
The next task is to read three fairy tale-like poems related to figures. Then you need to turn each key revealed by the poem many times. There are numbers here that give you a hint as to how many times to turn the key, except for hard difficulty.
If the puzzle difficulty is normal, the poem will look like this:
What started with three people, one would soon mourn, seven kind souls opened the door. Swapping one for two, she will wander somewhere, but five loves will bring her home. Despite being teased by both of them, she struggled to find her way, leaving only one alone.
If the puzzle difficulty is hard, the poem will not have numbers, but will have a matching theme. I would say that solitude is the best.
Depending on the difficulty of the puzzle you choose, here’s how many times you need to turn each key:
Light puzzle difficulty: 7, 2, 1 Standard puzzle difficulty: 7, 5, 1 Hard puzzle difficulty: 1, 1, 1
Now you will receive the key to the 3rd floor hallway and can finally enter room 312.
