How do you solve the music box puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake?The Silent Hill 2 Remake puzzle retains some elements from the original game, including the three princesses of classic folklore and their mysteries. However, instead of having to decipher which one goes where, the remake puzzle has been expanded slightly, adding two more steps after the statuette is placed.
Silent Hill 2 is as much a puzzle game as it is a psychological horror. And that’s just as true of the remake, which has somewhat expanded puzzles, as we discussed in our Silent Hill 2 remake review. Whether you’ve played the original or not, here are some tips for playing the all-new Silent Hill 2 Music Box once you’ve collected all three figures.

Placing the three figures is easy. The game doesn’t allow you to place figures in the wrong slots, so you don’t have to worry about that part. Several ideas will be introduced in the next section.
Each disc must be rotated until each disc makes a complete path to the nearest door. All three disks overlap, but all you need to do is make sure each path connects the princess and the door. With that in mind, you can take out one disc at a time, rotating each disc until it matches the image above. Rotating the smaller of the two rightmost disks does not move the larger one, so first place the larger disk in position, then move the smaller disk.

Place the disc in the right place and you’ll see three verses and three keys. This is probably the most complicated part of the puzzle. Each key must be turned the correct number of times relevant to the puzzle. If you answer correctly, all three statues will move into the door, completing the puzzle.

Finally, turn the third key only once, as the one shoe that leads Cinderella to the prince is the final answer to the puzzle.
