Allegations regarding relationship between Yusuf and Kwankwaso
Naija News reports that there are allegations within the Kwankwasiya Movement and the NNPP that suggest Mr. Kwankwaso is exerting undue influence over the Yusuf government, with him dictating policy decisions and effectively Some claim that he is plotting a “third term by proxy.”

I have always been by his side and served him. There has never been a rift between us over the years. It is completely unreasonable to suggest now that I am in any way chained by Kwankwaso. It’s fair.
“Just two days ago, I went to see him and told him about these rumors. I said, ‘I’m surprised.’ Do people expect me to insult someone who was on my side? ‘This is a person who was there for me, and now there are some who want me to go against him. It is simply not in my nature,” Yusuf asserted, adding that his governorship was not due to anyone’s influence but to God’s will.
The NNPP leadership recently decided to suspend Provincial Government Secretary Abdullahi Buffa Bichi and Transport Secretary Mohammad Digol. The move follows allegations of dishonesty and involvement in the Abba Tzaya da Cafalca campaign, which both officials deny.
They are currently under investigation for supporting this faction’s efforts.

He also expressed dissatisfaction with the way the allegations were reported in the media.
“They said Kwankwaso called me over 30 times and I refused to answer. Where did they get this from? And within how many months? Did they get this information? Did they pull it from WhatsApp or some other source?” Yusuf wondered, adding: But Kwankwaso and I both know that it’s all a lie. There are no cracks. ”
The Kano State governor also called on his supporters to refrain from using divisive slogans and warned that he would not participate in any campaign that would compromise his loyalty.
