Less than 48 hours to the Ondo State gubernatorial election, three gubernatorial candidates have resigned in favor of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa.
Candidates who supported Mr. Ayedatiwa include Dr. Ajibola Farae of the Accord Party and Mr. Hong Johnson. Jenyo Ataungko of the National Salvation Movement and Olaide Ibrahim of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
This support was confirmed by Governor Ayedatiwa’s chief spokesperson, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, in a statement issued in Akure on Thursday.
Mr. Adeniyan disclosed that the three candidates visited the governor in solidarity, where they formally announced their decision to support the governor’s re-election.
Dr. Farai spoke on behalf of the candidates he supported, citing Mr. Ayedatiwa’s commitment to public service, accomplishments, and accomplishments during his tenure as the basis for his support.

The Accord Party candidate also cited the common values and goals of progressive politics that the NRM, ADC and Accord believe are in line with the Ayedatiwa government.
