Prime Minister Bod George, a leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and a member of the Party’s Council (BOT), praised the Bot for declaring his support for Sunday Ude Okoy.
Naija News reported on Wednesday that the Adolphus Wabara-led bot had advised the party’s National Labor Commission (NWC) to swear Ude Okoye as the party’s national director of state, following an organ meeting in Abuja. .
The Wabara-led bot was decided based on the Enugu Court of Appeals ruling that recognized Ude Okoye against Samuel Anyanwu.
Senator Anyang Wu dismissed the party’s bot’s position, citing his appeal against the Supreme Court decision.
Speaking to TVC on Wednesday, Secretary George, a former military governor of Ondo Province, explained that the bot’s decision was in line with the PDP’s constitution.
“We’ve been swinging. We’ve been trying to make the party look like a decimated organ. But today I’m on the chairperson and all those present, permanent members and board of directors. I was pleased that the temporary members exercised their rights, actual responsibility, as defined by the party constitution.
“Now they are looking into the legal report and have concluded that the Court of Appeals has given the youth (Ude Okoi on Sunday) the authority to become the party’s representative secretary general,” he said.
