Veteran actress Toyin Afolayan popularly known as Lola Idije has addressed reports that her colleague, Biodun Okeowo also known as Goddaughter Omoborti, stole her husband Adeniyi Olabiyi from her daughter.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that shortly after controversial blogger Giz Lover claimed that the curvaceous actress broke up the relationship between a man and Lola’s daughter, Omoborty dismissed the claims via Instagram. Ta.
In July this year, Omoborti formalized her traditional marriage with her US-based fiance Olabiyi.
According to the blog, many of the actress’ colleagues stopped attending the wedding due to the relationship controversy.
Reacting to the allegations, Ms Biodun in a video she shared on Instagram stressed that her senior colleague, Lola Idije, and her daughter did not know her husband, Mr Adeniyi, until he was introduced to her.
Despite denying the allegations publicly over the weekend, the rumors persisted.
Reacting, Laura Idije on Monday, through her Instagram page, explained that the only interaction she had with Omoborty’s husband was during a phone call when her goddaughter introduced her husband.
Additionally, the veteran stated that neither she nor her daughter had any prior relationship with the man in question.
She writes: “I would like to address the rumors that are being spread and clear the air.
“The first time I spoke to Omoborty’s husband was when she introduced him to me over the phone. I didn’t know him before and my daughter also personally introduced him to her. Not a single person knows.
“Biodun aka Omoborti did not kidnap my daughter’s boyfriend. I attended the wedding. She would never do such a thing and I would still attend the wedding.
“Thank you. I hope this makes everything clear.”
