PHOENIX – Viva Phoenix, the music and culture festival, returns to downtown tomorrow.
The one-day event will spotlight local businesses, artists, and musicians.
The festival is back for the first time in 7 years. All of your favorite downtown venues will be filled with 70 up-and-coming artists.
“Viva Phoenix is a celebration of Phoenix,” said Matt Baquet, co-director of the event.
Viva PHX is a music and, of course, food venue located in the heart of downtown.
“Local small business vendors will also be participating. Various food vendors will also be participating, including Bocanora, Bad Jimmy’s and Restaurant Progress,” Baquet said.
Viva PHX focuses on local vendors, musicians, and artists. Because there’s no better place to showcase your work than in your home state.
“We are focused on emerging talent, and we are very proud that 50 percent of our talent comes here from Arizona,” Baquet said.
“It’s great to have the experience of being part of what happens in the city,” said artist Sebastián Villamil, who runs the Villamil & Villamil Instagram page.
If you’re not familiar with Viva PHX, this one-day event was last held seven years ago.
“Viva Phoenix was a popular event that existed from 2014 to 2017, and we’re so excited to bring it back here after seven years and showcase why Phoenix is the hottest place, literally and figuratively. ,” Baquet said.
The festival’s return comes just as Phoenix is experiencing the end of a record heat wave.
It will be held on Saturday, October 19th from 2pm to 2am. It’s not too late to buy tickets. General admission is $70.
