The Amazon Prime Big Deals Day event (most of us simply refer to it as “Prime Day 2” or “Prime Day in October”) runs from now until midnight PDT on Tuesday, October 9th. It will be held. This is Amazon’s biggest sale of the year outside of Black Friday. In fact, this second Prime Day event is close enough to Black Friday that we expect these sales to be on par with sales later in the holiday season.
This is the perfect time to score great deals on TVs, gaming PCs and laptops, Apple AirPods and iPads, headphones, toys, and more. It’s also a great time to get an early start on your early holiday gift shopping. We have selected the best deals that will interest both gamers and technology enthusiasts, but this does not mean that the products here only cover these categories. Don’t be surprised if you find random sales on toothbrushes, furniture, toilet paper, and more.

Are October’s Prime Day sales as good as Black Friday?
Black Friday is still the best time of year to buy just about anything, but October’s Prime Day can be just as good as Black Friday for a variety of products. For more information, also see our recommendations on what to buy on Prime Day. Amazon’s own devices currently on sale probably won’t come much cheaper. The same goes for most of the sales featured on this list, which are some of the lowest prices of the year so far. If you’re not sure if you’re getting a good deal, you can browse the specific product on the CamelCamelCamel website to see past Amazon prices.
Will other retailers have October Prime Day sales?
Prime Big Deal Days are exclusive to Amazon Prime members, but they’re also available at almost every other major retailer. Target Circle Week began earlier this week, with both Walmart and Best Buy offering counter sales to coincide with Amazon’s Prime Day sale. Amazon will price match many items featured at other retailers, but many deals are exclusive to each store and are worth checking out.
When does the October Prime Day sale end?
Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale officially ends on Wednesday, October 9th at 12am PT. That said, Amazon’s competitors that have sales will continue to offer discounts through the weekend. Target Circle Week continues through Saturday, October 12th, and the Walmart sale continues through Sunday, October 13th.
