Ayirimi Emami, a well-known member of All Progressives Congress (APC), argued that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should be allowed to secure a second term at Aso Rock.
Naija News reported that Emmani issued the statement on Friday, presenting gift items rated by millions of Naira to numerous traders and fishermen from Iraje in the Southwest Regional Government Area of Walli, Delta State I’m doing it.
Commenting on the 2027 election, Emmami pointed out that since former President Muhammadu Buhari was allowed to serve in the eight years of office, Tinubu should also be given the opportunity.
Emami, as a party, admitted that, although they were not satisfied with the previous government, the gestures extended to Buhari should also be extended to the incumbent president.
Commenting on the gifts for traders and fishermen, he said he intended to express his gratitude for President Tinubu’s support of running, particularly during the party’s primary and general elections.
He said: “Let Ajwaj get the chance to rule. We’ve given Buhari a chance. We’re not satisfied with the government.
“We fought with our own brothers to support Buhari. Now it’s the turn of Ajiwaj and they’re coming again saying we should fight. “No.” We are not going to fight. This man must complete his tenure. Many of the gang-ups were part of the last administration and parcels.
"For those who gang up, we’ll hold our own meeting here. Tinubu has to complete his eight years. We say no to gang up.”
He also argued that there were no seats available at the Niger Delta Development Committee, NDDC.
“There are no seats available at NDDC. We can only fight people who don’t work well. For the past six years, we haven’t seen MDs like this, as if NDDCs didn’t exist. I did,” he said.
