Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy National Chairman (South) Taofik Alapajja described Nyesom Wike as a loyal and dedicated party member.
The PDP Deputy National Chairman (South) said this during a book launch held in Port Harcourt on Friday to commemorate his 57th birthday.
PDP leader Mr Alapaja said despite the internal crisis in the party, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister commanded respect from all party members.
He added that if Mr Wike was of value to the PDP, other political parties would not have sought him.
“As PDP members, we are proud to say that he is one of our finest, because if he is not good enough, some of the other political parties will clearly Because I’m sure you won’t ask him for it. He’s making a big difference.
“The foundation of all political parties in Nigeria is PDP. So, I am surprised when someone who is a product of PDP speaks negatively about PDP. That is not politics.
“Our leader and principal has never left PDP for a day and is one of the most dedicated and loyal party leaders ever. He has done well and is doing well. We wish him all the best in all his future endeavours.
“We know you and we will always love and appreciate you. Some people may believe in the idea of entitlement, but we will always love you because you are honest, honorable and a performer. I support it,” Alapaja said.
