The All Progressives Congress (APC) has slammed the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, citing political threats.
Naija News reports that Kwankwaso boasted that he intends to depoliticize the APC in Kano State by reducing its voting power to less than 15,000 votes in the next general election in 2027. Ta.
However, in a statement on Thursday, state APC Chairman Prince Abdullahi Abbas called on Kwankwaso to stop daydreaming and focus his energies on regaining membership in the NNPP.
Prime Minister Abbas described Kwankwaso as a worthless political refugee, wandering the political spectrum.
According to him, Mr Kwankwaso’s comments were laughable, especially for someone who lost his political camp after being allegedly sacked by the NNPP.
The APC chief said Mr. Kwankwaso is a fraud who has chosen to cling to Governor Aba Yusuf like a leech in a futile attempt to restore order in the country.
He further warned Kwankwaso and his ilk that he would not tolerate a repeat of vote manipulation and distribution that gave the impression that the NNPP was firmly entrenched in Kano State in the 2023 general elections.
Prime Minister Abbas maintained that the APC is already standing by to not only take back Kano state but also rescue the people of the state from the undue influence of Kwankwaso from the Castle of Mirror Road.
The statement added: “APC’s legions of supporters need not worry about Mr. Kwankwaso, who was expelled from the NNPP for his ignorance and selfishness.” We expect Mr Kwankwaso to continue to wonder why he has become such a wanderer in the political realm.
“He fled the APC because he could not fit in with our progressive ideals. His inflated ego and domineering attitude forced him to abandon the PDP, leaving the NNPP to accept him. Because he refused, he is now a political refugee.
