The Spooktacular Halloween Bash will be held on October 26th at the Masonic Lodge in Fallbrook. Heading up the music department is Jack Kovic, a longtime Fallbrook resident with deep roots in the local music scene.
Looking back on his early days, Jack said: Brian Setzer charged me $5 per lesson to learn his guitar licks. We both studied jazz guitar under the famous Ray Gogarty, who encouraged me to read up on saxophone solos to improve my chops. ” With 10 years in the Navy and a career as a stockbroker at Washington Mutual, Jack’s diverse background enriches his musical contributions.
Joining Jack on stage is the extremely talented Kenny Marquez, who made his career soar with the band Renegade. With his multi-million selling album Rock ‘n’ Roll Crazy still available on Amazon, Kenny’s music resonates with fans around the world. Along with his wife Tara, the couple performs as an acoustic duo known as The Spell, captivating audiences throughout Southern California.
Kenny and Tara’s collaboration has garnered acclaim and led to them opening for legends such as LA Guns and the Atlanta Rhythm Section. Currently recording with Voyage Entertainment Records, two new singles, “Smoldered Out” and “Everything I Own,” have topped the charts in six countries. “I can’t wait to bring the energy to your Halloween party,” Kenny said, and his excitement was palpable. “It’s going to be a night to remember!”
Supporting the rhythm section is drummer Jolene Smith. Her infectious energy and precision have made her a beloved figure in the Southern California music community. Growing up in Chicago, Jolene was immersed in the world of music at an early age thanks to her musician parents. As co-founder and musical director of Las Palmas Percussionists, a children’s performance group based in San Clemente, Jolene’s passion for music education shines through. Her experience spans numerous bands throughout Southern California, and her driving beats are sure to captivate audiences.
This Halloween concert promises to be an emotional night filled with captivating music, great performances, and a charming atmosphere. Attendees will dress in their best costumes and dance the night away, with proceeds from the event also contributing to a worthy cause by supporting local initiatives and community projects.
