The Delta State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed support for the recent arrest of former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, terming it as a positive move in Nigeria’s anti-corruption efforts.
In a statement issued shortly after the news surfaced, the APC said Mr. Okowa’s concerns reflect the government’s commitment to addressing corruption and financial irregularities at both the state and federal levels. emphasized.
Naija News reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Okowa, a former governor of Delta State from 2015 to 2023, on charges of embezzlement of funds and suspicious financial transactions and contracts during his tenure.
