First Lady Remi Tinubu has described Akwa Ibom State Governor’s late wife Patience Umo Eno as a peaceful, God-fearing woman who loved her people dearly.
She spoke at the governor’s lodge in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State, where she joined the state governor, Pastor Umo Eno, to mourn the death of his wife.
In a statement, media aide Busola Kukoi reflected on his relationship with the deceased, noting that the first lady served the nation and successfully completed her course, saying it was an honor to meet her.

“Politics aside, we are all Nigerians and one thing I thank God for is that when we meet people, we should show love and care.Despite our short lives , I would like to thank God that she was able to complete that course. God will comfort you, your husband, and He will comfort you, your child. I will always be here for you. ”
A condolence register opened in memory of the deceased was signed by the First Lady, followed by a special prayer for the soul of the deceased and for the comfort of the bereaved family in their moment of grief.
The governor thanked the First Lady for being a true mother to all and said party affiliation does not matter when dealing with people.
He described his late wife as his greatest partner and said he would mourn her for the rest of his life.
However, he promised to maintain the operations of the first lady’s office in the state.
The First Lady was joined on the visit by Vice President Mrs Hajia Nana Shettima, wives of National Assembly leadership and wives of state governors.
