Professor Chris Immoleng, the youngest presidential candidate in the 2023 general election and currently the National Chairman of the Accord Party, has commended President Bola Tinubu for his efforts in organizing the National Youth Conference.
He stressed the importance of selecting reliable and competent representatives from different sectors of life in Nigeria.
Professor Immolen said those chosen to lead and participate in this important conference must be young people who have demonstrated excellence and ability in their respective careers, regardless of their political, religious or ethnic affiliation. said. He said the proposed confab should not be treated as a party conference, but as a genuine national assembly focused on addressing pressing issues affecting Nigeria’s youth, who constitute over 60% of the country’s population. He emphasized that they should be treated.
“This conference should not be seen as another opportunity to reward political supporters,” Professor Immolen said. “Rather, it should include a selection of innovative, dynamic and forward-looking young people, both critics and advocates, who are committed to charting a progressive path for Nigeria’s youth.”
He also stressed the urgency to ensure swift implementation of the conference’s outcomes to address the concerns and aspirations of Nigerian youths.
