Mr. Daniel Amokachi, the newly appointed Technical Adviser of Lovisters FC in Makurdi, officially assumed office on Monday, October 7, 2024.
The Benue-born iconic football legend addressed the players at McCarthy Stadium, stressing his role as a friend, confidant and boss to the players, building a strong brotherly bond to carry the team forward. He said he wanted it.
Amokachi expressed his gratitude to the club board and the Benue State government for giving him the opportunity to coach the team and vowed to give 120 percent to lead the team in the right direction.
Reflecting on the team’s current record of three losses, one draw, and one win, the former Nigeria representative pointed out that player welfare is the key to improving performance, and expressed his determination to improve their results.
Amokachi, who is gearing up to work with existing teams, praised the recent improvements in the Nigeria Premier Football League and NPFL and expressed optimism for the continued growth of Nigerian football.
