Judas Priest are one of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time, pushing the genre to new extremes of sound and fury in the 1970s, before achieving international success in the 1980s. While recent albums like this year’s proggy Invincible Shield have them working harder than ever, at 73 years old Rob Halford remains one of rock’n’roll’s most majestic artists. He is one of the frontmen. The fact that this avid leather freak inadvertently inspired an entire subculture to wear SM gear is just the icing on the cake. Theater of the Clouds, Moda Center, One Center Court Street, 7:30 p.m. $30.50 – $75.50. All ages.

Shannon and the Crumbs present themselves like a John Waters fantasy. All fluffy girl group melodies swirl around a core of scuzz. But there’s always a terrifyingly serious undercurrent to their music. (Remember 2013’s “Ozma,” one of the most touching tributes to a dead pet ever written?) Their new album, The Moon Is in the Wrong In “Location,” frontwoman Shannon Shaw pours out her grief following the unexpected death of her fiancé. I changed my band mates to music that sounded vaguer and more dissociative than before. Revolution Hall, 1300 SE Stark St. 8 p.m. $30. All ages.
