Labor Party interim chairman, Senator Nenadi Usman, told Felix Morka that he will take responsibility for any harm that may happen to Peter Obi and his associates.
Senator Usman said the threat by the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) against the party’s former presidential candidate was not to be taken lightly.

She claimed that despite her denials, Mr Molka’s words last Saturday posed a direct threat to Mr Obi’s life and were an affront to democratic principles.
“I note with great concern and a deep sense of responsibility the recent incendiary statements made by the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Felix Molka, when he appeared on national television on May 5, 2016. January 2025. His comments pose a direct threat to Peter Obi’s life, reputation and business interests, as well as to the principles of democracy, decency and responsible political engagement. It’s also an insult.
“Mr. Peter Obi is an impeccable man who has dedicated his life to service to Nigeria and the pursuit of good governance. He is a man whose leadership is guided by competence, merit, and respect for the rule of law.” Attacking him with baseless allegations and threats is a sign of APC’s inability to engage constructively on issues that matter to Nigerians.
“Such inflammatory rhetoric has no place in our democracy. It undermines national unity, prevents productive political debate, and puts lives at risk. We remind him and the APC leadership that words have consequences and the Labor Party will hold them accountable for any harm that befalls Peter Obi and his associates,” she said.
Usman demands investigation and apology
The former finance minister also called on security agencies to launch an investigation into the alleged threat. She insisted that Molka must be held accountable for his words.
Senator Usman stressed that the Labor Party will not be intimidated by the threat as the former Anambra governor represents hope for Nigerians.
“We call on security agencies to investigate this matter and ensure that those who use public platforms to incite violence or make veiled threats are held accountable.Political leadership They must look past the trivialities and focus on addressing the pressing challenges facing our country, including insecurity, unemployment, and economic instability.
“The Labor Party remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding its values of transparency, justice and inclusiveness. We will not be intimidated or distracted by intimidation or intimidation. He represents hope and progress for millions of Nigerians and we will continue to support him in his pursuit of a better Nigeria,” she said.
Usman also demanded an apology from the ruling party and a retraction of its statements against Peter Obi.
“The APC must immediately issue a public apology to Mr. Peter Obi and retract the offensive statements made by the National Publicity Secretary. Anything less would tacitly endorse such reckless and dangerous acts. That means you are doing it.
“As leaders, we have a duty to Nigerians to promote peace, unity and responsible political dialogue. The true measure of leadership is how we support each other, even in the face of disagreement. “Let’s not forget that it depends on how we treat ourselves,” she added.
