The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has approved a budget for 2025 totaling N17.6 billion.
This was contained in a communiqué issued at the conclusion of the NFF Annual General Meeting in Asaba, Delta State.
Part of the resolution reads: “Parliament commended the efforts of the Nigerian national team, especially the Super Eagles for their feat of winning a silver medal at the 2023 African Cup of Nations, and the Super Falcons for their first appearance in the Women’s Olympic Football Championship in 16 years.
“Congress emphasized the need for the NFF Executive Committee to prioritize grassroots football and talent identification across the country, in line with FIFA’s vision for the growth of global football. ) and was instrumental in supporting efforts to promote coaching courses.
“Congress approved a one-year extension to PricewaterhouseCoupes’ term as NFF external auditor.
“Parliament commended the progress made by the various leagues and called on the league bodies, the National Umpires Association, the Football Association and the FCT to strengthen officiating standards to foster a vibrant and competitive league system.
“The Congress has asked the state government to improve football infrastructure in the state.”
