The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Labor Committee (NWC) officially recognized former national youth leader Ude Okoi on Sunday as the party’s substantive secretary of state.
Naija News reports that the confirmation was made public on Wednesday through a statement issued by Debo Ologunagba, PDP’s National Publicity Secretary.
In compliance with the court’s ruling, the NWC has begun to notify the independent National Election Commission (INEC) and other related bodies to the other related bodies to formalize their recognition as the Secretary of State of Udeokoye. .

“The NWC thoroughly reviewed the attached documents, namely the declarative judgment of the High Court of Enugu, the judgment of the Court of Appeal, and the Enugu division, when considering the memo. Hong. Ske Udeh-Okoye. Legal opinions and advice by Dr. Kabiru T. Turaki San and that of the PDP’s national legal counsel.
“After taking full consideration of the memos and attachments, the NWC will overwhelmingly recognize, acknowledge and confirm the RT. Hong. Ske Udeh-Okoye, as substantial national secretary of the PDP, has announced the decision of the Court of Appeals. We fully comply, submit, and recognize that there is no judgment or order of aid or endorsement from a court of superior authority or hierarchy.
“The NWC has begun sending resolutions/decisions in favour of RT. Hong. For recognition in line with the decision of Ske Udeh-Okoye and the Court of Appeals as PDP national secretary of the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) Other related institutions.”

In response, Azibade urged the party’s representative national chair Umar Damagum to support the resolution of the party’s council (BOT), and Ude Okoye on Sunday vowed as PDP Secretary of State.
Ajibade stated this in a memo sent to Damagum in response to a fresh investigation for legal advice regarding the dispute between Ude-Okoye and Sen. Samuel Anyanwu regarding the position of PDP national secretary.
